This year's theme seems to be containers! Baskets and more baskets of all sorts of materials - woven and sewn and braided. Also we have our master dyer back leading people on a foraging adventure and then showing them what can be done with their treasures. Some brand new teachers and some old favourites as well... Jean Cockburn is once again doing her one day embroidery class, and as a penalty for signing people up before the website was even done, she has agreed to do a second installment if there are people who didn't get into the first.
To get really way off the beaten path of FIBER ARTS, we have Ram Sudama teaching a two day class in BOAT - BUILDING!!
And Suzanne Cannon is back with an incredibly sweet book/house that I know will be loved by two little grandsons I know...
Have a look and come join us for a very special weekend of creativity, fun, good food & good fellowship.
An exciting addition this year, just added. We will have a special guest speaker on Saturday evening - part fabric artist and part political activist, Bill Stearman will make a cross-Canada tour this fall and he will make a stop at Denman Island's Creative Threads Conspiracy where he will give a slide demo/trunk (backpack) show of his quilts. He will also give a talk about his activism around LGBTQ+ Rights.
