We are honoured to have a guest speaker, Bill Stearman, the CQA's LGBTQ+ Rep, here with his husband for the weekend of the Creative Threads Conspiracy. He will host a slide show and Backpack/Trunk Show on the evening of Friday, October 17th (to allow for visitors from Hornby to attend).

This show will feature a combination of prize-winning quilts and political action in support of the LGBTQ+ Community. We may be combining this talk/show with a potluck dinner to begin... Stay tuned! A quote from the artist about one of his quilts: " Artist Statement: As a hyperactive child who hurt himself a lot, the words I heard most often, I think, were ‘let me kiss it better’. It seemed to work. This quilt is my reaction to changes in the US and the world since January 20th, 2025. If only kissing it better still worked in our adult world!"

There will be a potluck at 6:00 pm in the Back Hall of the Community Center (where CTC holds lunches) and a slideshow and talk to follow at 7:00 pm.
