Weave a set of placemats or a runner using the leaves of invasive yellow flag iris. Yellow flag iris is on BC's invasive plant list. The class is intended for absolute beginners who want to learn the basics of handweaving. You will weave a runner or a set of placements on a pre-wrapped table loom. By the end of the class, you will know your weft from your warp and your twill from your tabby. You will also understand how to design a project, how to dress the loom, and how to weave different patterns. Best of all, you will leave with placemats that tell a story.
