Joyce McLellan

Was born and raised in North Vancouver, with family connected with Tsleil-Waututh nation.
-Transferred to Ontario with her family in 1978 and stayed until 1999 when she returned to retire to Qualicum Bay, B.C.
-While wintering in Texas in 1995 she walked in a room at her resort where ladies were quilting. She was invited to sit and quilt and handed some fabric and some instructions. With a lot of help she managed to produce her first quilt. A new love and a new beginning from the myriad of craft choices she had made up until then.
-Joyce has taken many courses over the years since moving to the island to hone traditional and innovative skills. Her desire now is to share what she has learned over the years with a leaning towards art quilting.
-Joyce admits she is a definite quilting addict with the stash to prove it, but is not looking for intervention!
