You will learn several basketry skills: basic wickerwork to construct small upside down forms in which bells and other objects can be suspended and random weave basketry to construct small open forms. We’ll experiment with weaving different shapes and there are so many creative possibilities and the mobiles can be as simple or complex as you wish!
You’ll learn about balance and aesthetic arrangement of the objects. The mobiles can be hung from branches, crossed sticks, small lampshades (fabric removed) or wire.
We’ll spend the first day making shapes and little baskets and the following morning assembling everything we’ve made and collected.
